“I use textile techniques, mostly knitting, to sculpt objects from primarily found and recycled objects. I work with the theme of nature, evolution, and ecology. When I was invited to participate, I responded because I like the idea of participating in a collaborative project focused on the profound amount of waste in our world. There are elements of both ecology and evolution in how this project highlights the impact that garbage has on our survival.” “The boot rubber used in t his project was found under my car when parked on a public street. I liked the serendipity of the relationship between hubcap and a boot left under my car.”Carolyn G Halliday
