Joseph studied at Tyler School of Fine Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then spent eight years traveling extensively throughout the United States and South Pacific. In 1996, he began to paint with encaustics on plaster. With his “Animal Metaphors” series in 2000 and 2002, he fully evolved to free-standing sculpture. Adding another facet to his work in 2004, Joseph began a series of colorful polystyrene and sequined constructions that are light in concept and delightful to the eye.
