"My work is informed by and celebrates nature’s un-peopled, untouched environments. So, when faced with a hunk of scrap metal, my first instinct was to camouflage it… I felt honored to participate in the hubcap project; I am an avid recycler and am passionate about preserving the environment. I believe that men are meant to be nature’s caretakers, not its rulers. And besides, painting a hubcap sounded like fun."Liz Dexheimer
