Karen is a studio artist and lifelong resident of NEPA. Receiving her MA in sculpture in 2008, she is active in exhibitions, commissions and gallery work. Currently teaching at Marywood University, Karen works with mold making and glass casting on a significant scale. She seeks projects that allow extended time for reflection, planning and execution.
“I felt the project posed an intriguing and unique challenge for an artist. By finding a creative use for hubcaps that were destined for a landfill, the message conveyed was timely and ecologically poignant. Since the proposal involved hundreds of artists, is also provided an opportunity to share in a worthy community effort.”Karen Reid
