Amy attended Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, Santa Monica College in California and studies under pastel artist Mark Miloff. Her poetry has been published and awarded, her paintings were honored by an award from the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles,California. Amy has been a member of the West Coast Pastel Society, Ten Women Venice artists cooperative, The Malibu Art Association, and the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council.
“I strongly believe that one person can have an impact on the environment and the world and that beauty is everywhere, even in a landfill. If we choose to create from our landfills instead of bury them or float them off to sea, what a beautiful inspiring world it will be. I painted an image of a mermaid finding a heart in a shipwreck, exploring the issue of finding something precious amongst wreckage.”Amy Roemer
