Anna received her BFA in illustration from The Rhode Island School of Design. She has exhibited all over the country and has fans all over the world. In addition to painting, Anna has worked in the film industry and is a writer. She’s been creating her series Retro Girls since 2004.
“My work is generally created using found objects. Because my primary method of transportation is walking (and I walk everywhere!) I collect items I use in my paintings from the city streets. So my work is part a commentary on recycling, reusing and being earth friendly.”Anna Koon
