Bud, after ending a long time career as a union organizer, fulfilled his lifelong desire to become an artist in 2004, at the age of 53. He began painting day and night after night. Twelve hundred plus paintings later, he’s still discovering creativity in himself. He has exhibited in several Nebraska galleries. He teaches writing part time, paints houses and plays the saxophone.
