“At first, Landfillart’s mission puzzled me. The idea, however, of being part of a group of international artists, working toward the same goal was enticing. I also like the fact that Ken Marquis gave me free rein to do whatever I envisioned with my hubcaps. Hubcaps in my mind meant wheels and wheels meant cars. Although I had no idea of whether I would end up with a cartoonish car, a futuristic one, or a sailboat on wheels, the challenge of creating an unplanned piece, and encountering drastic changes on the way, felt wonderful.
