Claire Maziarczyk

Claire Maziarczyk is the designer, owner, and creator of PASTEPAPER PATTERNS. She first created paste papers in 1982, when she was introduced to the process during her tenure at the center for Book Arts in New York City. Coming from a Fine Arts background in art education, her studio work focused mainly on printmaking and painting. Her decorative papers have been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide. Her work is represented in the collections of the Victoria and Albert and the British Museum in London, England, as well as the Schmoller Collection of Decorative Papers now housed at the Art and Design Library of Manchester Metropolitan University in Manchester, England. Examples of her papers can be found in virtually every university library with a collection of small press books and books on book history, design, and decorative papermaking.
