Emily has a graduate degree in architecture, and two undergraduate degrees in fine art and architecture. She studied at the University of Maryland, the Ecole de Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence, France, and with Walt Bartman at the Yellow Barn Gallery in Bethesda, Maryland. Emily is a student of Environmental Shamanism. She teaches workshops in creative journaling, and publishes a quarterly magazine about creativity.
