“I wanted to be involved because it’s a great way to use the knowledge and abilities I have to give a little bit back. I look for ways to give of my time and creativity, even if how I do that is small and individual. In so doing, it becomes a labor love and a way to give back to a world in which I am so blessed. That I chose a theme for this hubcap which embraces the oceans and all creatures in it, for me, speaks to the reason for this project. To make the environment a little cleaner and more beautiful speaks to my personal mission statement , which primarily is to offer one bit of beauty.”Ilene Rubin
