Margo is an artist of Peruvian and Jewish descent originally from Miami, Florida. She enjoys working in many mediums from watercolor to printmaking. Margo adores colors, pattern, and using tools. She draws on her ethnic heritage, family background and artistic energy to create an eclectic body of work that includes recycled and bottle cap creations, Hebrew calligraphics and “a world of fruit- made primarily in mediums of watercolor and India ink.” She calls her style of art “tropical expressionism” and her gallery is Galeria Tropicana

“I am passionate about environmental issues and have been making recycled art for almost twenty years. I particularly enjoy working with bottle caps, but I’m thrilled to keep anything out of the landfills and ocean.”Margo Rivera-Weiss
