Chris Aldieri
Untitled #50
Valencia, California
Chris began painting in 1998 while a resident of Key West, Florida. Originally inspired by Mark Rothko, his earlier works reflect the layers of colors that Rothko and other artists are known for. In developing his own style, Chris began mixing paints with different weights of modeling and molding pastes. These mixtures create the texture seen in many of his works. Most recently, he has added paintings on wood panels to his repertoire. Most of his collectors prefer to hang his work on large walls using different lighting techniques to play off the texture. Chris currently paints in his Valencia studio. He is a member of the Arts Center of South Florida and the Santa Clarita Artists Association in California. His works have been displayed in the Ashe Auditorium at the University of Miami-Downtown Campus and currently can be seen at various local art festivals as well as venues in the Santa Clarita Valley in California.
