Debra is an artist, non-toxic printmaker, instructor and Mom. She works in the mediums: intaglio type, collagraph, monoprint, wood cut, polyester plate lithography, water based silkscreen, and copper and aluminum etching. A lot of her work is strongly influenced by her everyday life on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Her love of the printmaking medium started with printing on fabric at College. After graduating from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1984 she started working on paper.
"I wanted to join the landfillart project because of your incentive to bring a group of people together to collaborate on an idea. When I saw your website and that people from all over were taking the time to work with you on your idea; I wanted to help out also. Making art out of rejected ugly wasteful trash is fun, playful, and makes a wonderful statement on our foolish habits as a society. Bravo Ken for making Landfillart happen!"Debra Percival
