Elisabeth is both a potter and physician, and grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She is the daughter of refugee parents from Vienna. As a child, she was infused with the sensibilities of the cultural explosion that occurred there over a century ago, enriched by the sights and sounds- jazz, salsa, vibe, bright neon signs pulsing with energy- that surrounded her each and every day.
