Lake Charles, Louisiana

Heather was born in New Haven, Connecticut. She is a professor of art at NcNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana where she teaches painting and contemporary approaches to drawing. “This painting celebrates the lushness and beauty of Louisiana, particularly that of Contraband Bayou. I am concerned with the preservation of this waterway, as it is home to a rich array of plant and animal life…too often it is the site of trash dumping.”Heather Ryan Kelly
