JoAnne is a painter and poet working beside the Gowanus canal, one of the most toxic waterways in the United States. She is a graduate of Princeton University. Her work is part of the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, Columbus Museum of Art, and the Dpt. of State among others. She is the author of seven poetry collections, including the Glass Blown Tale and Acid Rain.
