Leslie’s inspiration for creating paintings is derived from her professional and personal journeys. As she travels in both worlds, she seeks to influence human actions so that the world’s biodiversity is protected and conserved. Her travels range from the deserts of Mongolia to the Tibetan Plateau to the rainforests of southeast Asia and Latin America, resulting in work with a vocabulary relating to nature and its organic structures. Painting gives her the freedom to creatively express her thoughts and feelings, and then to share them with the individual viewer.
