From the Mangroves to the Bay

Coconut Grove, Florida

Linda received a BFA from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and a Masters of Education from Valparaiso University in Indiana. She has been an art teacher for over twenty years and is currently teaching elementary art for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Inspiration for her artwork often comes from nature and reflects the environment.

“I chose to participate in this project because I believe in the idea of making art out of something that would otherwise be in a landfill. I also enjoyed the challenge of painting on a three-dimensional rusty hubcap.”Linda Oldenburg
