Lique was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts, Arnhern. Since her graduation in 1997, she is preoccupied with the Self-Portrait in a multidisciplinary way. She depicts her own life in a rather exposed fashion using photographs, paintings, objects and installations. Her work reflects daily moments and major themes of life: birth, growth, decay, death and identity are shown in different series. Since 2003 Lique takes photographs of herself every day with an analogue compact camera, reworks these digitally and stores them into her LS diaries. These visual diaries are the basis for her final art. Her work is regularly exhibited in the Netherlands in both museums, galleries and art fairs.
