A native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Marcia began painting lessons as a shy yet spirited child and later received formal training at The Art Institute of Boston; L’Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Beaux-Arts, Paris, France; Cape Cod School of Arts, Provincetown, MA; and Holyoke Community College, Holyoke, MA. Two of Marcia’s favorites who have had an impact on her work were Lois Griffel at The Cape Cod School of Art, and Wolf Kahn at The Art Institute of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work has been exhibited in group shows, solo shows and publications were she received awards and commissions.
