Maria Livrone

The Big Bang

Plains, Pennsylvania

Maria was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon graduating from College Misericordia in Dallas, Pennsylvania, her journey began-from studying in Europe to frolicking during the wondrous 70’s in Golden Gate State Park with, yes, “flowers in her hair”. Living in the famed Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco couldn't help but spark the creative energy within. Creation became a daily necessity. Her recent focus has been clay, glass and mosaics. Maria's work can be found in many galleries throughout the United States and Canada.

“Being able to recycle cast-off items such as hubcaps and otherwise unusable shards of glass into statements of beauty is both an honor and privilege. My artwork utilizes the metal canvas to represent the Black Hole, out of which springs a re-birthing of life (or cast off items).”Maria Livrone
