Shirley is a free lance artist, silk painter and jewelry maker . She attended Southern Illinois University where she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in textiles and Bachelor of Fine Arts in metal smithing. Shirley taught art for nearly 24 years. Her work has been shown nationally and she has had several commissions of public art.
