Born in 1981 in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, in old times the city was called “little Paris”, because of it's architecture, style of life and type of people. Sofia Grimalschi having many European nationalities, her art is a strong blend of ethnic symbols, but in the same time it's also modern, spiritual, a visual spectacle full of sensual vitality. Sofia had a full scholarship to the Art University and also for her Masters Degree. Having a Master in Art but also being a self-taught artist she has created art in techniques from etching, pastels, watercolors, print screan to acrylics, oils and mixed media. Sofia Grimalschi was an art teacher in state schools, but mostly she has her own technique of teaching art private, to people that they never studied  art before, and make them achieve incredible results in a short period of time.Her artwork is currently in private collections from all over the world in: United States, Canada, France, Greece, Belgium, Italy, Romania, Switzerland, Cameroon, Singapore, India and Saudi Arabia. She won several awards and she's held personal and group exibitions in: United States, France, Spain, Russia, Moldavie and Romania. Sofia's artistic aim is to continue to create paintings that take you in a different world, a world of feelings and to share with her art students, the joy of art.
