Wanda Wright

Hatching New Dreams

Franklin, Tennessee

Born in Franklin, Tennessee in 1946 and growing up in Spring Hill, Wanda was an elementary school teacher in Williamson and Maury Counties in Tennessee for more than half her life. She is now retired and focuses her life on her grandsons and family, her painting career, and photography. Through her artistic endeavors she aspired to showcase the beauty that is so often taken for granted.

“After retiring from teaching third grade for 32 years, I felt I had lost a vital voice for the environment since so much of my teaching centered on inspiring our youth and their families to help protect our changing and disappearing ecosystems. Participating in the Landfillart Project I felt that excitement again of being able to ‘speak’ to a greater audience about the commitment we must make to rescue our planet.”Wanda Wright
